In science this year my topic was how much plastic waste can my family reduce in two weeks. We reduced 1.237 kg's of plastic waste. In the first two weeks we had 2.293 kg's of plastic waste or 207 bits and in the second week we had 1.056 kg's or 48 bits. There are four people in our home which means we reduced 0.30925 kg's of plastic each. If everybody in New Zealand reduced that much plastic New Zealand would have 1,422,550 kg's less plastic every fortnight. If everybody in New Zealand reduced 0.30925 kg's of plastic every fortnight then in a year New Zealand would of reduce the same weight as 84 Boeing 747 jumbo jets of plastic. I have found this topic interesting.
